Part Time Music Teacher

- Bachelor’s degree in teaching or relevant field, advanced degree preferred
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with students as a teacher, instructor, or tutor
- Familiarity with student-centered teaching methods
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

- Teach one section of students in instrumental music with varying levels of music background and knowledge.
- Implement student-centered pedagogies, using the framework for Gold Standard PBL to design and execute projects.
- Collaborate with the full faculty on defining and executing yearly interactions of school-wide CBL systems, structures, and best practices.
- Partner with the Director of Learning Support and the Director of English Language Learning Support to create inclusive classrooms for students with learning differences or with lower English proficiencies.
- Be familiar with EF Academy Pasadena’s processes for supporting student well-being.
- Embrace responsibilities to support student well-being.
- Commit to the CBL and PBL vision of academics and experiment boldly with curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.
- Participate fully in professional learning opportunities offered by the school.
- Actively engage with department and faculty meetings.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues on planning, gathering and sharing resources, and cross grading/rubric tuning.
- Take actions that demonstrate commitment to helping students feel known, seen, and valued.
