EF Education First London is looking for an organised and proactive Residence Advisor Lead to support the smooth operation of our student accommodation. This live-in role ensures students have a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable residential experience while studying in the UK this summer.
Position Details:
  • Full-time
  • Fixed-term; June to August
  • Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday
  • Potential for extension/permanent employment
  • Accommodation provided at no cost

Responsibilities
  • Live in EF residential accommodation and oversee comfort, safety, and conduct of students on and out of school hours, ensuring residence advisor duties such as room checks, curfew, and activities in the residence are in place
  • To support the Residence Manager in running an efficient department
  • To ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction is delivered to students
  • To ensure Weekends are run smoothly and residence assistants are supported
  • To support students in their daily life and enable them to achieve the best experience and highest learning possible
  • To ensure standards of rooms and quality of service are maintained by conducting weekly building checks, checking, and updating posters and signs when appropriate
  • To advocate for a fun and lively environment within campus by organising Weekend residence tour, welcoming and departure students, and promoting activities
  • To assist with administration tasks by having accurate lists with important information to support the team and suppliers
  • To assist students with general enquiries and take appropriate action in the event of student misconduct, addressing concerns with relevant school staff
  • To ensure Safeguarding procedures are in place and concerns are shared with relevant school staff
  • To follow EF procedures and take responsibility for fire safety
  • School emergency phone duty on rota basis
Requirements
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently
  • Flexible with working hours, as evenings and full weekend work may be required
  • Highly motivated, energetic, positive
  • Approachable, confident, and friendly personality
  • Customer service oriented and strong communication skills
  • Given the on call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to nature & hours of work undertaken is essential
  • Attention to detail, organised & thorough
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with ease & remain calm under pressure
  • Sensitive approach to welfare issues All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
  • Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
