EF High School Exchange Year is seeking a dynamic, organized, and experienced professional to join our summer programs team as a Mentor Manager for the Welcome Camp program. This critical leadership role involves ensuring smooth program operations, overseeing the Lead Mentors and Summer Mentors, and fostering a supportive and high-quality experience for all participants.

Has significant prior experience with EF HSEY’s summer programs, preferably in a leadership capacity such as Lead Mentor or operation roles.

Demonstrates outstanding leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and guiding others.

Possesses exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Communicates effectively, adapting to diverse audiences and addressing challenges with maturity and professionalism.

Thrives in fast-paced environments while maintaining a clear focus on program goals.

Demonstrates independence and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

Is passionate about creating positive and impactful experiences for international students.

About the Role

As the Mentor Manager, you will take on a pivotal role in our summer programs, leading the Senior Staff team and ensuring the success of all mentoring and logistical efforts. Your responsibilities include:

Supervising, coaching, and providing accountability for the Lead Mentors and Summer Mentors.

Overseeing the planning and execution of program logistics, including student arrivals and departures, and overall coordination to ensure seamless experiences for participants.

Ensuring alignment between program objectives and staff performance by conducting regular check-ins and providing constructive feedback.

Collaborating with program leadership to address challenges and implement improvements.

Facilitating team training sessions, fostering skill development and a positive team culture.

Monitoring and maintaining the overall quality and consistency of the student experience across sessions.

Supporting emergency response efforts and ensuring student safety during critical incidents.

Program Logistics

This is a full-time, seasonal leadership position requiring a commitment for the duration of the summer program. The Mentor Manager is estimated to work 45-60 hours per week at $17/hour, with any overtime hours paid at time and a half. EF provides room and board for the duration of the program.

EF Welcome Camp includes four (4) program sessions and training periods as outlined below:

Arrival to campus: July 12

Senior Staff Training: July 13-16

All-Staff Training: July 17-22

Week 1: July 23 – July 28

Week 2: July 30 – August 4

Week 3: August 6 – August 11

Week 4: August 13 – August 18

Depart from Campus: August 19
