Ellevation Education is looking for a tech-savvy, passionate and driven Talent Acquisition Partner skilled at finding great talent and delivering an amazing candidate experience so we can continue building a world class team supporting our mission. In this role you will support our People Strategy team to recruit top talent for our Ed-tech company to support the work of thousands of educators and the students they serve.

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Onboard and learn about Ellevation’s mission to improve outcomes for ELL students.
  • Understand Ellevation’s values and how the Talent Acquisition team partners with internal teams to drive results.
  • Learn our recruiting process and practices.
  • Learn all of our internal recruitment platforms, including Lever (ATS), SparkHire (video interview tool), GoodTime (scheduling tool), LinkedIn Recruiter (sourcing tool) and other sourcing tools.
  • Gain understanding of our DevPro (Product and Engineering) organization structure, tools and technologies, and products.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles including sourcing and identifying passive candidates using a variety of online tools and unique sourcing techniques.
  • Partner with leadership and hiring managers to fully understand Ellevation’s hiring needs, and learn about long term strategic hiring plans to build appropriate pipelines.

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Dive into data and Lever insights to determine improvement areas, and make recommendations.
  • Source candidates independently through various mediums, conduct phone/zoom screens, and schedule interviews.
  • Track, post and close job requisitions and postings efficiently. Support People Leaders in writing job descriptions, creating interview plans, and coach People Leaders through candidates’ assessment.
  • Establish strong working relationships and build rapport with colleagues and People Leaders throughout the company.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Serve as Lever Super Admin and have the ability to problem solve technical issues within our tools.
  • Able to extract and analyze data from our ATS and concisely share the insights with leaders.
  • Actively track key talent acquisition metrics (e.g. time to fill, time to hire, candidates by sources, etc.) and make recommendations for process improvements. Continuously evaluate and improve our existing processes with a new critical eye.
  • Develop a network of candidates to engage for future opportunities.

Within 12 months, you will:

  • Successfully hire ~20 new team members to Ellevation.
  • Support Ellevation in improving our diversity hiring demographics.
  • Interact with the EdTech community to create partnerships and support employer branding initiatives with a focus on diversity.
  • Attend hiring and networking events virtually and in-person.

About You:

  • Full Lifecycle Recruiter: You have at least 4+ years of recruiting experience including at least 2+ years of technical recruiting experience. Ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of the software engineering, product management and product design space. (Bonus points: Ed-tech or saas experience a plus!You have experience sourcing and closing in a highly competitive market and continue to build a strong network of professionals.)
  • You have a strong understanding of tech programs and language.
  • You can handle requisition loads of 10-15 reqs at various stages.
  • Thorough: You love details and ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Analytical: You have a keen eye for data insights, and know how to use Excel/Google sheets.
  • Trustworthy: You are skilled in building rapport/relationships.
  • Adaptable self-starter: You’re excited to dive into new projects. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can wear multiple hats.
  • Conversationalist: You enjoy talking to others to learn about their interest in Ellevation.
  • Flexible: You can easily pivot in a fast-paced environment and enjoy variety in your day-to-day.
  • Inclusive: You are passionate about creating an inclusive and diverse workplace. Bonus points if you have experience recruiting historically underrepresented groups.
  • Great listener and communicator: You are skilled at both verbal and written communication plus you are comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
