ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are actively placing OTs for the 2026-2027 school year near Biloxi, Mississippi.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students under established IEPs
- Conduct OT evaluations assessing fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and functional skill development
- Develop and monitor IEP goals aligned to student’s functional performance and classroom participation
- Recommend and support environmental modifications and assistive technology to improve student access
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families on carryover strategies
- Complete required documentation and progress notes within district-set timelines
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Required:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active NBCOT certification (OTR)
- Active state licensure in MS
- Minimum one year of school-based OT experience
- Availability Monday through Friday during standard school hours (minimum 15 hours per week preferred)
Preferred, or a Plus:
- Previous school experience
- Experience with sensory integration, assistive technology, or handwriting programs (e.g., Handwriting Without Tears)
- Experience across multiple grade levels or disability categories
