Embodied Labs is thrilled to be hiring a Vice President of Sales to lead its growth team. We’ve seen sales success across our four key verticals with a founding sales team, and we’re looking to take our growth, team, and processes to the next level.

This is a great role for someone who has built sales teams, processes, and achieved strong revenue growth at startups in the past. You’ve had success as a full cycle AE, and now you take pleasure in coaching your team to success. You’ve been part of startup GTMs in the past, and you can spot the signals in the noise. You’ll strategically analyze past success to identify which verticals and opportunities deserve the most attention going forward. You collaborate well across departments, and you understand CEO & board level priorities.

This role reports directly to the CEO. Your team includes an experienced Director of National Accounts, an Account Executive (currently hiring), and a Business Development Associate (BDA).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and own the sales process for customer-funded growth from funnel development and pipeline conversion to revenue realization.
  • Evolve company B2B & B2B2C strategy, prioritizing how we focus and sell in existing markets and break into beachhead markets.
  • Execute on strategy, prioritizing focus on building a team for scale and foundations for maximum growth potential.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership team to cross share learnings and iterate on sales functional area strategy/execution plan.
  • Hire, manage, and lead the sales and sales enablement teams as a player/coach.
  • Develop a comprehensive budget and calendar for sales training, conferences, and marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals, values, and strategies.
  • Maintain detailed weekly and monthly reporting processes for all sales team activities, including pipeline status, performance metrics, contact engagements, and next steps.
  • Lead and oversee a team responsible for customer success and retention as a player/coach.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of effective sales and management experience with a proven track record of success in creating and executing go-to-market strategies and setting department-wide sales targets and OKRs.
  • Successful experience in an early growth stage tech company.
  • Broad understanding of the healthcare industry.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Must be metrics-driven and results-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills.
  • Experience with CRMs (HubSpot preferred, Salesforce or equivalent OK).
