About the Role

At Exxat, we’re building scalable, high-impact SaaS platforms that power healthcare education across the U.S. We are looking for senior engineers and technical leaders who are passionate about solving complex engineering problems, designing scalable architectures, and leading initiatives that impact thousands of students and institutions.

You’ll play a key role in shaping our products’ technical direction — whether by architecting distributed systems, driving performance improvements, or mentoring teams. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable software systems using modern architectures (microservices, serverless, event-driven).
• Drive the creation of high-level and low-level designs (HLDs/LLDs) for complex features and systems.
• Build and optimize backend and/or frontend services using technologies such as .NET, Go, Java, Node.js, React, or Angular.
• Contribute to architectural decisions around scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Guide development teams through best practices in design, coding, code reviews, and testing.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code — ensuring maintainability and adherence to engineering standards.
• Partner with product owners, architects, and engineering managers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Conduct technical proof-of-concepts (POCs) and evaluate emerging technologies for inclusion in the product roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to scaling the team’s technical capability.
• Support DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud (Azure/AWS) initiatives to enhance deployment automation and system reliability.
• Champion Agile principles and continuous improvement in development processes.

Nice to Have / Desired Experience

• 9 –15 years of experience in software development, architecture, or technical leadership.
• Proven experience building and scaling enterprise-grade or SaaS products.
• Strong command of data structures, algorithms, and design principles (SOLID, DDD, etc.).
• Hands-on with Azure or AWS cloud services (e.g., Functions, Lambda, API Gateway, Kubernetes, DynamoDB, CosmosDB).
• Exposure to DevOps, automation testing, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in Agile environments and familiarity with modern SDLC practices.
