Are you

  • Experienced in taxation of a partnership and the functioning of a private equity partnerships in particular.
  • A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organisation
  • Excellent client management skills and experienced to handle multiple engagements within the practice assigned and therefore must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Willingness to understand German partnership taxation rules and German CFC rules (both follow a similar concept as the US tax rules).
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal and ability to present
  • Open minded, curious, commitment to quality and continuous learning
  • Proficient using MS Office tools specifically Powerpoint, WORD, EXCEL and Advance Excel.

  • An exciting opportunity with our team for Germany private equity partnerships. We are focused on supporting our clients in managing their reporting requirements, centrally and locally, and also in delivering on their transformation agenda. You will be instrumental in driving efficiencies by offering leading practice solutions. You will be required to demonstrate dedication to quality in all aspects of your work which will include managing client service team members and contributing to the achievement of team goals.
  • Able to identify key tax technical issues and raise the appropriate questions before the work is sent for review to the Manager or senior manager – and consult when necessary
  • Ensuring use of the methodologies, tools and technology specific to tax.
  • Build strong internal relationships within the team and across other services
  • Oversee the team supporting FS Tax Germany in preparing tax returns for Private Equity partnerships
  • Perform a first level review and send work for final review to the engagement team in Germany
  • First point of contact for German onsite team and junior members of the team.
  • Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training tax professionals (in close collaboration with German onsite team).
  • Maintain a robust educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis.


Experience

  • 3 to 4 years of parternsip tax/private equity experience in US, UK or Germany private equity partnerships will be preferred.

Education/Qualifications

  • B.Com / BBA/ BBM/ MBA/CFA
  • Any Additional Degree/ Diploma/ Specialization in fields related to Tax sector

  • Delivering projects consistently by applying designated methodology, processes, standards and technology tools and with respect to turnaround, quality and handling workflow distribution.
  • Working as single point of contact on engagements for users/clients regarding service delivery and day-to-day operations
  • Monitor metrics for service delivery, opportunities for improving customer satisfaction and implement appropriate modifications to process
  • Instil EY culture at the individual level
  • Proactively and timely identify operational problems and propose solutions. Escalate issues where required to the reporting Managers
