As part of our continued growth strategy, we are looking to recruit a Senior Consultant into our Assignment Services team. This will be a client-facing role, reporting to one or more Managers, depending on the client portfolio allocated to the successful individual.
The Assignment Services practice provides services to a wide range of multinational companies. Our service offering covers end-to-end assignment management, administration, and policy development. Our team creates cost estimates, compensation package calculations, payroll instructions, and assignment letters. We often serve as the principal point of contact at EY for our clients’ mobility teams and their mobile employees. Additionally, we provide advisory services to organizations seeking to build a mobility programme for the first time or to improve their existing mobility operations.
About you
- Ability to identify potential tax and social security issues in the development and application of assignment policies and the review of standard assignment documentation.
- Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in assignment management or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of trends in global mobility, with the ability to provide insight to clients.
- Awareness of EY services and understanding of how these could be beneficial to their clients.
- An understanding of the importance of Q&RM (Quality and Risk Management) within EY
- An understanding of how EY or other organisations pursue new business and respond to requests for proposals (RFPs)
- A full understanding of the mobility assignment lifecycle
- The ability to create and implement process improvements and promote best practice.
- The ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of client specific policies to deliver advice to the corporate client and assignee population.
- An understanding of assignment compensation and benefits planning, payroll and pension issues, and the ability to explain / justify the methodology behind calculations and their application.
- An understanding of relocation issues and the services provided for under client policy.
- An ability to relay global mobility related information clearly and concisely - verbally and in writing.
- An understanding of the corporate challenges involved in international assignments.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Regular contact (primarily via video meetings, emails, and phone calls) with clients
- Ongoing contact with assignees – e.g., handling general queries and leading briefing calls.
- Coordinating compliance and relocation services
- Reviewing assignment documentation (e.g., cost estimates, balance sheets, letters of assignment) and compensation package calculations
- Collaborating closely with our offshore processing centres
- Preparing and / or reviewing client invoices
- Monitoring and forecasting engagement financials using relevant EY tools
- Complying with, and reporting on, agreed service performance metrics
- Coordinating day-to-day operations for a nominated portfolio of engagements, in accordance with the contractual scope
- Active involvement in new business development (e.g., creating proposals)
- Advising organisations on building or enhancing their mobility programme / operations
- Identifying opportunities for out-of-scope work
- Identifying challenges and proactively resolving or escalating them as appropriate
