Financial Analyst - Senior Associate

The opportunity
BA&I (Business Analysis and Investments) team is seeking for strong Finance Advisor to support the APAC Consulting CoE organization. BA&I is one of 4 functions within EY FP&A team. The role provides support to the APAC Consulting Finance Lead on interpretation of financial information, ad hoc analysis and investigations. You will work closely with other members of the APAC Consulting BA&I team.

This role will establish a trusted relationship with their client, understanding their needs and teaming with other Finance team members to bring best in class analytical support, functional expertise and reporting solutions.


Your key responsibilities
• Prepare weekly and monthly management reports and provide revenue and cost analysis.
• Assist in monitoring and tracking the financial results against operational and strategic objectives as well as historical performance
• Involve in preparing, synthesizing and communicating detailed financial information to Finance and business leaders; assist in identifying any potential risks which might impact service line performance and coordinate with the Team in providing strategic input to support effective decision making
• Perform and coordinate various budget and forecast exercises, support the translation of business projections into meaningful figures, including data processing, modeling and reporting
• Support the team lead with the day-to-day management of the inventory, including billing and collection management, WIP and debtor aging analysis, and alert respective leaders for any potential credit risks
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process including compiling and/or reviewing journals and reconciliations
• Any other bookkeeping and reporting matters
• Execute ad-hoc analysis and data mining projects as needed by leaders
• Provide technical support, knowledge and counsel to others within the finance discipline

• Ability to work in a virtual global organization respecting international cultures

• Good team player with ability to interact with staff at all levels.
• Proactive and self-sufficient working style with ability to prioritize whilst escalating as appropriate to prevent dilution of existing controls.
• Able to demonstrate initiative in approach to problem solving
• Computer proficiency; be proficient or trainable in complex aspects of financial software packages, including Power Bi
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools, predominantly Excel and PowerPoint


To qualify for the role, you must have
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent.
• Membership of accredited professional accounting bodies (CPA / ACCA / CIMA etc.) is desirable.
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in finance related roles (mainly Financial Planning & Analysis
• Knowledge of other data analytics tools such as Python, Power BI, Tableau are an advantage

Ideally, you’ll also have
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools, predominantly Excel, PowerPoint
