EY- Cloud Engineering - Platform Engineer - Senior

As part of our EY Consulting - DET team, you will help clients develop their next generation digital transformation strategies, solutioning & product development. Working with EY-DET. proprietary frameworks, you will help clients determine the best way to digitalize their businesses. This includes developing cloud-based solutions and defining transformation strategies for the financial sector.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineers with expertise in Technical Consulting to join the leadership group of our EY-DET Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

What You Will Be Doing

We are recruiting Platform Engineers with a proven background and experience in designing and setting up CI/CD pipelines in On-Prem and Cloud Platforms, experience in automation and deployment to different environments. The ideal candidate will have technical experience in building scalable integrated processes to fulfill the requirements of different software projects which change their technology stack on case to case basis. DevOps/Platform Engineers are responsible for design, implementation, and ongoing support of the production services, applications and platform components. In this role, you have the opportunity to leverage your technical skills in systems management, software development and data store administration to provide best-practices guidance.

He/she will be part of a cross functional operations/software development engineering team responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, integrating, testing, implementing, and deploying new and existing software applications. While we focus a lot on banks, insurance companies and FinTechs, the group will have opportunities to support other sectors also including healthcare, automotive, high-tech, and media. We are looking for talented engineers, we will teach domain knowledge as needed for the right candidates.

What You Need for this Position

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or another related field.
• 6+ years’ technical and critical thinking skills.
• 2+ years’ experience of microservices oriented architecture, Web services standards and best practices.
• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on infra-automation, security in hybrid architecture environments. Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure with focus on Azure
• Expertise and Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform. Write IaC for deployment of resources (compute, storage, networking etc) to Azure cloud.
• Experience in container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes/AKS) - Cluster setup and management, Setting up Security Policy, Network Policy, Ingress, configuring key vault for managing security, managed identity/work load identity for secure access to azure services, and set up infra-monitoring,
• Configuring role-based access control (RBAC), Debugging skills.
• Experience in Istio to manage inter-service communication, traffic routing, and load balancing within the Kubernetes environment.
• Integrated Kubernetes with monitoring tools for infra, APM and real-time tracking of system. Application health and performance metrics.
• Experience in deploying microservices in Kubernetes.
• Experience in Azure ADO for implementing pipelines for automating infrastructure provisioning
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles. In-depth knowledge of security principles, secure coding practices, and compliance standards. Implement security controls and best practices to safeguard banking user journeys. Familiarity with security scanning tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, IAST), vulnerability management and OWASP.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to implement DevSecOps best practices.
