We’re looking for a .NET Application Support Developer to join our System Engineering Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of our service offering.

Your key responsibilities

Application Support:

  • Provide second- and third-line support for .NET-based applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor application performance and ensure high availability.

Development and Maintenance:

  • Develop fixes, enhancements, and updates for existing applications.
  • Collaborate with the development team to implement new features and functionality.
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams, to address application needs.
  • Gather and analyse user requirements to propose effective solutions.
  • Document technical solutions and support processes for knowledge sharing

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to optimise application performance and functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and suggest improvements for code quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest .NET and Microsoft technologies to recommend enhancements.


To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 7-10 years’ experience in .NET development,
  • Hands-on experience in a .NET development, including C#, ASP.NET, MVC and .NET Core
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly SQL Server.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React is a plus.
  • Familiarity with web services (REST, SOAP) and API integration.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of application performance monitoring tools and practices.
  • Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Strong written & oral communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are a plus.
  3. Ability to drive the project and prioritize tasks into manageable work products.
  4. Experience in managing client accounts preferably in a consulting environment
