Job Description

The Franklin Apprenticeships mission is about connecting passionate, eager, and highly motivated technology talent with employers. We work with large Fortune 500/1000 companies across the country who hire apprentices from our pre-apprenticeship program with no prior IT experience. This is the perfect ground-floor opportunity for the tech-minded candidate looking for a career start.


You will support IT and Business initiatives while working closely with your mentor on issues related to project requests. These roles are for the detail-oriented person who thrives in a fast-paced, secure environment and enjoys problem-solving and finding solutions.

Responsibilities may include:
- Identify and mitigate common risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions
- Protect networks, devices, and data using SIEM tools
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of security applications

- Perform detailed scans of databases, web applications, antivirus and other applications
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues


As a Franklin Apprentice, you will gain industry-recognized certifications, on-the-job training, and support from a Success Coach. Franklin’s Cyber Security Apprenticeship is a structured, on-the-job learning program that supports individuals to become fully qualified Cyber Security Support professionals within one year.

After an initial assessment and verification of your eligibility, we will provide you with access to the foundational training, with supported learning activities related to CompTIA SEC +. The coursework includes self-directed virtual training and group coaching sessions with a Franklin Success Coach.
