Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCO Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting an inclusive learning environment, supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential.
Skills
The successful candidate will have:
- B.Ed. /M.Ed. in Special Education
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in special education
- Min of 3 years of experience in special education
- The ability to share your outstanding practice
- A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom
- Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents
- A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning
- An aspiration to work in a world-class school with real prospects for enhancing their career
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and implement inclusive strategies that meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEN.
- Provide differentiated instruction and support to individuals or small groups of students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments to identify students with SEN and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SEN team and parents.
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and external specialists to create a collaborative support network for students with SEN.
- Implement evidence-based interventions and accommodations to address diverse learning needs.
- Stay updated on best practices, research, and advancements in the field of special education and inclusion.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and promotes a sense of belonging for all students.
