Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced CAIE Supervisor (IGCSE / AS / A level) to lead and manage the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) department. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, ensure high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects, and uphold the school’s ethos of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership and management to ensure effective teaching, efficient use of resources, and improved student achievement.

· Oversee the smooth and effective running of the department, including staff management, resource allocation, and professional development.

· Embrace and promote the GEMS Core Values and maintain the highest academic and professional standards.

· Monitor, evaluate, and enhance teaching and learning practices through constructive feedback and guidance.

· Set departmental goals and individual performance targets aligned with the school’s strategic objectives.

· Raise the profile of the school by leading participation and success in regional and international competitions.

· Act as the first point of contact for teaching staff, supporting student well-being in both academic and co-curricular domains.

· Lead initiatives in Monitoring & Evaluation, Assessments, Curriculum Enrichment, PLD coordination, and Teaching for Effective Learning.

· Engage in departmental self-evaluation, implementing recommendations and continuous improvement.

· Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to contribute beyond regular school hours when required.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or relevant subject area.

· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

· Proven experience with CAIE curriculum and assessment standards.

· Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and continuous professional growth.
