This role will primarily focus on China market in IP segment; but as part of a global team, you will be expected to collaborate and contribute best practices and balance demand as required across the team.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Fluency in written and spoken Chinese and English

• Master’s degree in electrical or electronics related areas

• Minimum 3 years of IP experience, e.g., Law Firm, IP functions at large corporation, IP service provider, etc.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers

• Know well the whole life cycle of IP management

• Excellent presentation skills

• Highly motivated, service-oriented, and energetic

• Builds strong relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders

• Regular business trip within China

It would be great if you also had…

• Good knowledge of IP products or services

• Knowledge of IP customers’ business needs and workflows

• Familiarity with IP intelligence and/or competitive products in the IP space

What will you be doing in this role?

As such your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Understand customer workflows and needs in IP area.

• Develop local presentations of IP solutions that align with global messages. Introduce and present the presentations to the related sales team and help the sales team to understand the key messages and be prepared to deliver them to the customers.

• Keep update of Clarivate IP solutions. Prepare and coordinate the necessary documents for distribution to the customers, the sales team and other function teams.

• Provide pre-sales support of product or services other than upon request.

• Customer-centricity and ‘outside-in’ approach to commercial solutioning. Ability to identify customer pain points and propose IP solutions to business problems.

• Ability to clearly explain and articulate the value of recommended solutions coming out of the customer discovery conversations to drive revenue growth

Liaise with global delivery team to deliver against project plans and communicate with customer on project progress.

• Represent Clarivate to present at industry conferences and exhibitions as a trusted advisor and/or SME

• Focusing on competition Intelligence and products analysis.

About the Team

Solution consultant team is an integral part of the IP sales strategy of Clarivate and plays an important role in supporting client acquisition and retention efforts. Business Solution Consultant revolves around driving commercial outcomes with the commercial sales teams by building customer trust and confidence in proposed IP solutions and associated value proposition. This role will have the ability and capacity to develop total IP solutions that will be relevant, drive value, and therefore can address customer’s business or strategic challenges.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.

This is a hybrid position working in the office up to 3 days a week.
