We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Technology team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Clarivate’s ProQuest Platform and associated systems. We’re passionate about creating landmark online resources that help scholars and students discover and learn.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• 2+ years of experience providing quality assurance to a software development team for a commercial product

• 2+ years of experience in Selenium, Playwright or other test systems

• 2+ years of experience of testing and validating web accessibility

• 1+ ears of experience of using a browser’s developer tool to gather information about a failure

• Proficiency in English both written and spoken.

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Experience with AWS or any Cloud environments

• Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Application development experience with Java and HTML/JavaScript

• Understanding of digital content publishing workflows

What will you be doing in this role?

• Collaborate with development engineers, architects & product managers to understand product workflows, requirements & acceptance criteria to translate these into highly testable, automated systems.

• Participate actively in team meetings to understand requirements, anticipate risks, and influence testability from the earliest stages.

• Be part of agile teams validating acceptance criteria ensuring quality and on time delivery.

• Develop and execute, automation and manual test suites for web applications.

• Support release cycles by validating new features and performing regression testing.

• Identify, document, and track bugs, working closely with developers to facilitate resolutions.

• Expand our existing automated test coverage and improve existing regression tests, promote best practices, tools, and processes across the engineering teams

Product you will be developing

The ProQuest platform is an academic search platform used by hundreds of universities around the world to allow their students to research anything from 17th Century European books to the latest scientific journals. This is a large Java based web application that is used by students to assist them in their under or post-graduate research. Recent feature sets include the use of generative AI on parts of the site, as well as a regular flow of new content sets. There has also been a strong push to maintain a high standard of accessibility compliance across the site.

About the Team

We’re a geo-diverse team of 5 Software Engineers and 1 Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be reporting directly to Software Engineer, Manager.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within CET time zone. This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
