We are looking for a Senior Team Lead DevOps Engineer to lead our team in Belgrade. This is an amazing opportunity to lead a team supporting the A&G Content Solutions space, including ProQuest, eBook Central, and other products in our portfolio serving customers worldwide.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, system administration or a closely related area

• 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• 3+ years of experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, etc.)

• 2+ years of experience supporting Linux and Windows-based systems

• 2+ years of experience with GitHub and Jenkins for CI/CD workflows

• 1+ years of experience with Docker containerization

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

It would be great if you also have . . .

• Prior experience mentoring or leading engineers (formal or informal)

• Previous experience in an on-call rotation providing 24x7 product support

• Experience with Python or Ruby scripting for automation

• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Familiarity with managing containerized environments, especially ECS and EKS

• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog and CloudWatch

• Familiarity with administration and configuration of Java, Apache, and Tomcat applications

What will you be doing in this role?

• Interact with the lead software development organization to define technical project requirements, gathering build requirements, providing updates, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction

• Contribute to the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines, participating in efforts to automate and optimize the software delivery lifecycle. Support, troubleshoot, and maintain build and test environments in cloud and on-premises infrastructure

• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24x7 product support

• Oversee day-to-day operations and lead a team of colleagues. Plan, delegate, and direct the team's day-to-day work to achieve operational targets or objectives with contribution to the immediate results for the team or department

• Support hiring, onboarding, and team growth initiatives

• Conduct performance reviews and support career development for team members, guide, coach, and mentor team members

As a Senior Team Lead DevOps Engineer within Clarivate Analytics you will be leading the team responsible for building and deploying processes for A&G Content Solutions products including ProQuest, eBook Central, and other platforms in our portfolio. You will oversee infrastructure that powers customer-facing applications as well as internal systems in a hybrid cloud environment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance for our global user base while driving technical excellence across your team.

About the Team

Our team is spread across multiple locations worldwide, and in this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across Barcelona, the United States (Eastern Time Zone), and Serbia. You will report directly to the DevOps Engineering Manager and serve as a key technical and people leader, responsible for orchestrating and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of tools and infrastructure critical to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within the CET time zone. This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
