Operations Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Operations Project Manager to join our Consulting Services (Life Science & Healthcare) Operations team in Barcelona. Our team works at the intersection of business, project management and operations, providing operational support across multiple layers of the organisation.
In this role, you will act as a strategic partner for a practice area or service line, ensuring effective planning, resource allocation and operational execution. You will manage projects end to end, collaborate with teams across the business and drive initiatives that support Consulting Services goals.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of experience, with preference for an IT or engineering background
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a professional services environment or related field, including 3 years as a Project Manager or in Operations Management
- Excellent oral and written English communication
It would be great if you also had
- Experience with different project‑management methodologies and frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, etc.). Certifications such as PMP, Prince2 or Scrum are desirable
- Experience with MS Office toolset, specifically strong MS Excel or Power BI skills
- Experience in resource‑management functions
- Experience working with global and distributed teams
- Previous experience in Operations (SOP development, design, planning and execution) is desirable
What will you be doing in this role?
- Deliver and manage projects for the Consulting Services organisation, leading all project phases from planning through delivery and stabilisation, ensuring alignment with the agreed project‑management framework
- Identify, mitigate and resolve project risks and issues, working with management and project owners as required
- Coach and guide project team members on project‑management processes, methodologies and best practices when needed
- Define and support reporting and operational processes within the Consulting Services organisation, including management, maintenance and support
- Drive and support capacity planning, resourcing assignments and utilisation analysis
- Oversee the operational landscape of a service line or business unit, working with leadership to ensure targets are met
- Provide operational support to the service line, identifying areas of impact and ensuring implementation of best practices
- Lead the implementation of new processes, process improvements and business integrations, ensuring documentation remains accurate and up to date
- Manipulate and analyse data, produce charts and understand data flows and reporting within technical tools
About the Team
- You will be part of the Consulting Operations (Life Sciences & Healthcare) team based in Barcelona.
- We are a global team of more than 20 colleagues located in the US, UK and India.
- You will join a dynamic team with a wide range of operational expertise, supporting internal and external stakeholders.
Hours of Work
This is a permanent full‑time role at 40 hours per week (35 hours during July and August). The position is hybrid, requiring attendance at our Barcelona office (near Sagrada Familia) 2–3 times per week.
