As a Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in a diverse, innovative team driving the development of Canvas Studio, a web application that allows instructors and students to collaborate, learn, and create through video and audio. Our Tech Stack: React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails. Docker, Postgres, AWS cloud technologies

What you will be doing:

• Develop and maintain video processing, analytics, and web services.

• Use TypeScript and Ruby on Rails to write key features to improve teaching and learning.

• Learn and use AWS services like EC2, CloudFront, SQS, Lambda, S3, and RDS to provide world-class uptime and performance.

• Use CI/CD (test automation, deployment workflow) to improve quality and deployment.

• Lead initiatives that drastically improve the quality of the system you work with.

What you will need to know/have:

• Minimum three years of industry, enterprise-level software development experience.

• Strong proficiency in design patterns, coding standards, and performance improvements.

• Solid experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Experience with Ruby/Rails or a passion for learning new technologies

• Experience with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.

• Experience with Amazon Web Services and deploying your applications.

• Must be able to demonstrate experience with Agentic Engineering (Claude, Copilot or similar).

• Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and experience in leading technical projects.
