About the opportunity

Ironhack’s Tech Scholarship is an opportunity for Puerto Rican talent to start their careers in tech. Together with the Department of Economic Development and Commerce under the 21st Century Techforce initiative, we offer a fully covered tuition scholarship for a tech bootcamp.

Technology is changing continuously, and the goal is to keep the local talent up to speed with the most demanded skills.

The scholars receive 9 weeks of technical training, career mentorship, and join the 20,000+ Ironhack Alumni all over the world.

Those who are selected will be given a scholarship to attend 9 weeks of hands-on technical training led by Ironhack's award-winning teachers and programs. Without a doubt this program will fast track your career trajectory for the digital transformation.

Our Data Science & Machine Learning bootcamp will launch on November 25th, with an async introductory week, followed by 9-weeks of training, starting on 2 December until 14 February 2025. We will have a 2-week break for Christmas.

The course will be from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (EST), with an hour for lunch, 100% remote via Zoom, in English.

Are you ready for it? You must:

• Have a work permit to work in Puerto Rico: Ironhack cannot provide sponsorship or visas.
• Have some experience in coding and/or data (recent graduate in tech or software developer / data)
• Availability to take the course full time for 9 weeks. The course will be from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with an hour for lunch.
• Must have a go-getter attitude and be open to operating in a fast-past environment.
• Live in Puerto Rico.

What is the selection process?

We're looking for talent with a strong passion for technology or recently graduated college students looking to break into the job market through our career-changing courses.

The selection process consists of four steps:

• Take a logical reasoning test. There's no need to prepare or have prior knowledge, as we will assess your reasoning ability.
• If you successfully pass the logic test, we invite you to schedule a meeting with an Admissions Manager. In this meeting, we will give you relevant information that you should know before starting the course, and you will also be able to clarify any questions you may have about the program. This meeting is mandatory to advance the process.
• Finally, you are awarded one of our scholarship positions. In that case, you will receive an email from our team confirming our interest in your participation in the bootcamp and outlining the next steps.
