About the Role:

The Operations Analyst – Crisis Management plays a critical role within Wiley’s Crisis Management Operations Center (CMOC), supporting the monitoring, assessment, and response to global incidents that may impact colleague safety and business operations.

Working as part of a 24/7 global team, this role is responsible for continuous monitoring of global events, managing incident information, supporting crisis escalation, and maintaining accurate reporting. The role requires strong situational awareness, analytical thinking, and the ability to perform calmly in time-sensitive situations.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Monitor global political, environmental, and security events to identify risks to colleague safety and business operations.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for incident reporting and support crisis escalation in line with established protocols.
  • Utilize proprietary and open‑source security and intelligence platforms to detect, assess, and respond to potential threats.
  • Support coordinated crisis response by communicating timely, accurate information to regional and global crisis stakeholders.
  • Conduct threat assessments and contribute to incident analysis, trend identification, and investigative support.
  • Prepare clear, structured incident reports and contribute to regular threat and security trend reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records, system data, and operational documentation to support audits and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Security, Regional Crisis Managers, Facilities, People teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in security operations, crisis management, emergency response, or a related operational environment.
  • Strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and analytical judgment.
  • Ability to remain calm, disciplined, and effective in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
  • Comfort working with security monitoring systems such as CCTV, access control, intelligence, or incident management platforms.
  • Clear, concise communicator with strong documentation and escalation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a 24/7 shift-based environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in security management, emergency management, or a related field preferred.
