About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Privacy Engineer to design, build, and implement technical solutions that embed privacy by design into data products, platforms, and analytics capabilities. This role partners closely with engineering, data science, legal, and privacy teams to ensure that data use is compliant, secure, and scalable while still enabling business innovation.

You will play a critical role in translating privacy requirements into practical, engineering‑driven solutions and influencing how privacy is operationalized across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Privacy by Design & Engineering

  • Design and implement privacy‑by‑design and privacy‑by‑default solutions across products, platforms, and data pipelines
  • Ensure data use aligns with applicable privacy laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate privacy risks in new and existing data uses

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product, engineering, data science, analytics, and architecture teams to enable compliant and responsible data use
  • Serve as a technical interface between privacy, legal, and technology teams
  • Communicate program progress, risks, and recommendations to key stakeholders

Software Development & Technical Solutions

  • Analyze, design, and develop software enhancements to reduce privacy vulnerabilities
  • Implement technical controls such as data minimization, anonymization, pseudonymization, and access controls
  • Contribute to technical documentation, standards, and procedures for privacy‑related systems

Privacy Operations & Compliance Support

  • Support privacy compliance activities, including processing data subject access requests (DSARs), as needed
  • Assist privacy program managers and legal teams with technical analysis related to regulatory requirements
  • Participate in broader privacy compliance initiatives and audits when required.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Privacy Engineering, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in privacy engineering, data protection, software engineering, or a related technical role
  • Strong software development skills, including system design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation
  • Understanding of data lifecycle management, secure data handling, and privacy engineering concepts
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant technical or privacy‑focused discipline
  • Knowledge of global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and their technical implications
  • Experience implementing privacy‑enhancing technologies in complex or large‑scale environments
  • CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist) or equivalent certification
