About the Role:

We are seeking to hire an Associate Software Support Engineer’s to take on a crucial role in supporting Connect. In this position, you will be responsible for application maintenance, support, and development. You will collaborate closely with the development teams to resolve issues, ensure timely resolutions for Incidents and Service Requests, and contribute to the overall improvement of the platform's functionality and performance.

How you will make an impact:

  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and web application concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, including understanding REST APIs and backend services
  • Familiarity with React fundamentals, including components, props, state, and basic debugging of frontend issues
  • Ability to investigate and troubleshoot technical issues, analyze logs, and identify root causes
  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL, including writing queries and inspecting data when debugging issues
  • Familiarity with HTTP concepts, request/response flows, and common status codes
  • Fundamental knowledge of Git and version control workflows
  • Ability to work with developers to diagnose issues, reproduce bugs, and assist in implementing fixes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when investigating incidents
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys learning, sharing knowledge, and supporting others
  • Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and system architecture
  • Contribute to process refinement, Incident Management, and related workflows.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Report on root causes of issues, document processes, standard operating procedures, and solution requirements.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot reported issues in production and staging environments
  • Analyze logs, API responses, and database data to identify root causes of problems
  • Reproduce reported bugs and work to implement and verify fixes
    Work on implementing small enhancements, bug fixes, and improvements in the codebase
  • Help monitor system behavior and identify potential issues
  • Document findings, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for future reference
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve system reliability and support processes
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
