About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Marketing Executive to drive marketing initiatives and support the growth of the Research business in China. This role will lead the promotion of life science portfolio journals in China, covering both Wiley-owned titles and partner titles.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing plan with a focus on driving article submissions, brand awareness and author engagement for Life Sciences.
- Analyse China researcher & author market to refine target audience segmentation. Based on the author journey to design effective marketing campaigns: oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across various channels, including events, social media, digital and other 3rd party platforms, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the marketing influenced target.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals, including
--working with cross-functional teams, such as local and global Editorial, Marketing, Data Analysis etc., to roll out China key initiatives, ensuring marketing efforts align with business objectives;
--supporting China partners to grow impact and build a broader author & reader community in both China and globe.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and marketing innovations. Explore new opportunities/channels to drive incremental growth and better performance for key marketing initiatives. Use data-driven insights to optimize future campaigns and improve overall marketing effectiveness.
- Marketing campaigns: oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns across various channels, including events, social media, digital and other 3rd party platforms, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the marketing influenced target.
Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Science or Marketing (overseas study background preferred)
- 3+ years’ experience in publishing industry or marketing
- Solid understanding of marketing principles (digital, content, social media, event, branding)
- Proven success in managing multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Proficiency in marketing tools (social media management, email marketing software, CMS, etc.)
- Proficiency in market research & data analysis; experience with marketing analytics tools
- Exceptional written & verbal communication; ability to craft persuasive content and deliver effective presentations
- Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities; data-driven mindset
- Customer focus, collaboration, results orientation, ensuring accountability, effective problem solving
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- Good health, able to travel for business
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
