About the Role:

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Executive to join our China Institutional Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies, driving demand generation, and supporting sales efforts across the research business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful marketing initiatives and enhance engagement with institutional customers, including libraries and academic users.

Key Responsibilities

1. Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive GTM plans for assigned products
  • Monitor performance and optimize strategies based on market feedback
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of campaigns

2. Customer Engagement & Demand Generation

  • Provide professional support to institutional customers, including librarians and researchers
  • Deliver product training, publishing guidance, and promotional activities (e.g., webinars, quizzes, campaigns)
  • Create and localize marketing materials tailored to regional needs
  • Plan and execute library and campus events to drive engagement and generate marketing-qualified leads (MQLs)
  • Initiate innovative campaigns to increase student and researcher participation

3. Sales Enablement

  • Partner closely with sales teams to align marketing initiatives with market needs
  • Support product positioning and messaging to ensure relevance and competitiveness
  • Contribute to localization of global products and campaigns for the China market

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Maintain effective communication with global product and marketing teams
  • Support the rollout and execution of global campaigns locally
  • Ensure consistency of product messaging across all channels

Requirements

Education

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Science & Engineering, or Library & Information Science
  • Research or academic publishing experience is a plus

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in marketing within the publishing or academic industry, STEM background preferred
  • Experience in GTM strategy execution preferred
  • Background in library services is a plus

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams
  • Strong business judgment and problem-solving ability
  • Proactive, innovative, and open to new ideas

Language

  • Fluent in both English and Chinese (written and spoken)
