About the Role:

As Senior Publishing Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting strategic publishing activities and meeting management for our European scientific society partnerships. Reporting directly to the Senior Publisher, you will manage a mix of administrative, research, and project coordination tasks while contributing to independent responsibilities. This includes supporting selected projects, monitoring payment schedules, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams and external partners. The Senior Publisher, who leads the partnership, will guide and collaborate with you in these tasks.

You will contribute to the success of our partner publishing program by combining organizational excellence with collaborative support. Your role will involve coordinating workflows, supporting bibliometric analyses, and supporting the delivery of professional outputs that meet our collaborative objectives. This role offers excellent learning opportunities within our expanding partnership programs.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Support and coordinate independent projects, helping to ensure milestones and deadlines are met, including tracking payment schedules and identifying potential areas for improvement
  • Act as a key point of contact managing the flow of internal information and ensuring clarity across all stakeholders
  • Coordinate meeting management including pre-meeting preparation (scheduling, agenda development, briefing materials) and post-meeting activities (minutes, action items, follow-up coordination) for both internal teams and external partners’ meetings.
  • Support strategic initiatives by coordinating activities across multiple European partner organizations and facilitating stakeholder engagement
  • Support the development and implementation of new digital initiatives and platforms for partner communities
  • Gather and analyze background information, producing reports and insights to support strategic decisions
  • Support the production of impactful collateral such as infographics, case studies, and presentations; provide editing and proofreading support
  • Conduct bibliometric and other analyses to inform discussions with partners and strengthen Wiley's position as a trusted publishing partner
  • Coordinate social media activities and digital communications to enhance member engagement and community building
  • Track project metrics and compile feedback to support continuous improvement of partnership programs
  • Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution

What We Look For

  • Experience in publishing or administrative roles
  • Strong organisational and meeting coordination skills, with proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholder groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • Analytical mindset with experience handling data and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with social media and digital communication tools, with interest in supporting online engagement activities
  • Collaborative approach with confidence to work independently while supporting team initiatives
  • Understanding of the European research landscape and academic publishing ecosystem is a plus

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with project management tools
  • Knowledge of additional European languages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German
