This positions offers a base salary of $45,000 plus the eligibility of a performance bonus.

Start Date - July 2026

The McKinney-Vento Liaison supports the educational success and well‑being of students identified under McKinney‑Vento, Foster Care, or Migrant programs by managing the Child Find process and maintaining accurate student records in PowerSchool. This role provides ongoing family engagement through monthly newsletters, weekly outreach calls, and coordinated resource support. The position works closely with school staff, social workers, and external agencies to address barriers to attendance, academic progress, and access to services.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.

Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Complete the Child Find process to identify students who qualify as McKinney-Vento, Foster, or Migrant using PowerSchool and Salesforce
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date MKV student records in PowerSchool
  • Send monthly newsletters to MKV families to provide resources, support, and check-ins
  • Conduct weekly outreach calls to MKV families at risk of academic or attendance withdrawal to offer support
  • Escalate concerns regarding MKV students to the school social worker as needed
  • Participate in attendance escalations to provide insight into the circumstances of MKV students
  • Collaborate with outside stakeholders to provide services and resources to students and families
  • Collaborate with staff and families to remove barriers and ensure students have access to educational resources

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma AND
  • Two (2) years of experience working with families in a similar capacity, developing parent mentors/Learning Coaches relationships OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of McKinney-Vento, foster, and migrant students’ needs
  • Familiarity with online learning environment
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizations and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visit, etc.)
  • Web proficiency
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Ability to clear required background check

OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual preferred
