Director, Data Science & Analytics

Our Data Science & Analytics team is tasked with developing and leveraging our data platform to unlock business insights that improve the businesses of both Kajabi and our customers. The Director of Data Science & Analytics will be both a leader and a contributor. The ideal candidate for this position has at least 3 years of experience recruiting, developing, and retaining teams of Data Analysts, Analytics Engineers, and Data Scientists in addition to at least 5 years of hands-on data science & analytics engineering experience.

• Recruit and develop a high-performing Data Science & Analytics team
• Set clear expectations and goals for team members
• Provide clear, actionable feedback and support to your team and colleagues
• Personally initiate and execute analytics and applied-data-science projects
• Regularly sync with your primary stakeholders and leaders across the company to understand their priorities and align your team’s project roadmap accordingly
• Actively contribute to the development of a strong, data-informed culture at Kajabi

Attributes for Success

• 8+ years of work experience, 5 years of hands-on data science & analytics engineering experience including at least 3 years in a people-leadership role
• Outstanding problem framing, strategic thinking, and communication skills. You are adept at surfacing insights to a variety of stakeholders
• A broad technical background that spans multiple areas such as analytics engineering, data products, experimentation, data visualization, statistics, and machine learning
• Experience hiring, developing, and retaining a high-performing and diverse team
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
• Strong grasp of analytical data modeling, data visualization, and data analysis
• Experience working with dbt, Snowflake, Looker, and Python
• Self-Starter - ability to execute and implement change
• Passion – for Kajabi’s mission
• Critical Thinking – strategic and highly analytical
• Leadership – easily move others to action by planning, motivating, organizing and controlling work being done
• Goal Oriented – naturally motivated to reach goals

The salary range for this US-based role is $169,000-$225,000 + bonus + equity + benefits (health, welfare, retirement, and paid leave). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, education, certain degrees, training, certifications, geographic location, travel requirements, and business needs.
