The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Education and Outreach Support Assistant for our partner organization REACH in Manchester, NH. Assistants will work to help identify and coordinate outreach events and activities; help education coordinator with youth prevention education; attending fairs and community events, tabling events, networking meetings, and helping connect the community. The advocate is supervised directly by the Education Coordinator and will participate in supervisory meetings no less than one a month more depending on schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend community events and share information about REACH.
• Setting up and breaking down materials used during the event.
• Participating in planning and implementation of outreach strategies.
• Cultivating relationships with businesses, individuals, and other relevant organizations.
• Available during business hours to participate in community meetings.
• Help develop and present programming centered on healthy relationships, boundaries and consent.
• Assist in marketing for events and fundraisers through social media, flyers and in-person promotion.
• Assist in fundraising, event planning and implementation.
• Representing REACH to promote the organization’s mission and services.
• Able to direct community members who need support relating to REACH services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
• Work study part of financial aid package
• Students with work study may be prioritized
• Reliable transportation
• Successful completion of the Crisis Intervention Advocacy training (minimum 30 hours).
• Ability to intervene appropriately in crisis situations and maintain confidentiality.

Work Schedule: Office is open 8:30am to 5pm
