Our Tax team oversees the company's tax accounting, compliance, and reporting obligations. They advise the company on tax planning opportunities and work to ensure the organization remains compliant while maximizing tax savings.
Responsibilities
Description
The Director of Tax will oversee the company’s tax planning, compliance, reporting, and strategy. They work to ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations while optimizing the organization’s tax position. The role involves working with external firms and collaborating with other departments to align tax strategies with business objectives.
Your day-to-day job will consist of:
- Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with corporate objectives to minimize tax liability and ensure compliance
- Liaison with 3rd party firms to ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, and local income tax returns
- Lead the company’s income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
- Provide tax guidance on potential mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, entity formation, cross-border initiatives, and other major corporate transactions
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and operational teams to ensure tax considerations are properly integrated into business decisions
- Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements, annual reports, and other regulatory filings in accordance with local laws and accounting standards
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of tax processes, controls, and documentation
- Own the global transfer pricing policy and documentation strategy
- Stay current on changes in tax legislation and communicate their impact on the business
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Minimum 7 years of progressive tax experience
- Experience in tax accounting, corporate tax compliance, transfer pricing, and M&A tax structuring
- Understanding of international tax laws and cross-border transactions
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or CPA strongly preferred
- Strong preference for a mix of public accounting and in-house corporate tax roles

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $161,000 - $229,800 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; specific geographic location; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
