Kickstart your marketing career with Knowt! We’re looking for a creative, social-media-savvy marketer to build Knowt’s GCSE-focused social media presence from scratch on TikTok and Instagram. This role will be responsible for introducing Knowt to GCSE students (primarily UK-based, but globally relevant) and driving them to the platform through content that feels authentic, relatable, and student-first.
You’ll work closely with our Marketing Manager and CMO to grow Knowt’s 6.5M+ user base, while owning the strategy, voice, and execution of Knowt’s GCSE social channels. This is a high-ownership role with lots of creative freedom and room to experiment.
This role is ideal for recent grads or early-career marketers who completed GCSEs (and ideally A-levels) and deeply understand the GCSE student experience. (No visa sponsorship available.)

- Completed GCSEs and genuinely understand the GCSE student experience — from exam boards and revision stress to mocks, grade boundaries, and exam season panic.
- Are excited to build a social media presence from zero, defining the voice, content pillars, and creative direction for GCSE students.
- Live for short-form content and know what works on TikTok & Instagram.
- Think independently and feel confident testing, iterating, and shipping ideas quickly.
- Have bold, creative ideas that push boundaries while still feeling authentic to students.
- Understand the GCSE student voice and UK-specific culture, humor, and vernacular.
- Stay up to date on trends and can adapt them naturally for a student audience.
- Learn fast, take initiative, and thrive in a high-ownership environment.
- UK-based or strong familiarity with the UK secondary education system
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, or relevant experience
- Completed GCSEs (A-levels strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of GCSE structure, exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR), and student stress points
- Strong grasp of TikTok & Instagram trends and platform culture
- Familiarity with design and editing tools (CapCut, Canva, Figma, etc.)
- Creative mindset with strong storytelling and judgment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Own and build Knowt’s GCSE-focused social media presence from the ground up
- Develop and execute a content strategy designed to attract and convert GCSE students to the Knowt platform
- Plan, post, and maintain a consistent content schedule on TikTok and Instagram
- Create, edit, and caption videos that resonate specifically with GCSE students
- Stay ahead of trends, sounds, memes, and viral moments relevant to UK student culture
- Engage authentically with students through comments, DMs, and mentions
- Track performance metrics and iterate based on what resonates
- Monitor competitors and GCSE student communities for new opportunities
- Capture Knowt’s brand energy in a way that feels relatable, student-first, and culturally accurate
