Kritik is a fast-growing EdTech startup transforming education through peer-to-peer learning. Our platform helps educators foster critical thinking and deeper engagement through collaborative feedback. We recently launched VisibleAI, an authorship tracking tool that supports academic integrity and AI literacy in higher education.

Having achieved product-market fit, we’re now scaling rapidly—from $2M to $10M ARR—and building our core team. We’re excited to hire our first finance and operations role to support our founders as internal complexity grows.

The Role
We’re hiring a financial managaer to join our small but mighty remote team. This role is perfect for a data-savvy early-career professional who loves spreadsheets, financial modeling, and using AI tools to solve problems. You’ll wear multiple hats early on — from HR logistics to payroll support — while building out the backbone of our financial operations.
You’ll gradually specialize into a Controller role as the company grows over the next two years.

What You’ll Do

• Build and update our internal financial models and statements
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Manage bookkeeping, payroll coordination, and expense tracking
• Support hiring, onboarding, and vacation tracking
• Automate internal reporting and operations using GenAI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, n8n, Zapier — no coding required)
• Assist the CEO with key projects and strategy support
• Prepare data-driven reports to support decisions across the business
