The internal title of this role: Bootcamp Operations Manager
The Bootcamp Operations Manager will play a key role in recruiting, training, and onboarding teachers, teaching assistants (TAs), and local operations teams. This role is crucial to ensuring that all stakeholders—both academic and operational—are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to deliver the Le Wagon experience at the highest standard.

💪 Responsibilities
Onboarding and training of Operations Staff (CM, PM, internal BM):
- Create and oversee a thorough onboarding process for new operations team members joining Le Wagon. This includes familiarizing them with internal systems, tools, policies, and Le Wagon’s culture. Continuously update onboarding materials and processes based on evolving business needs and feedback from past experiences.
- Act as a mentor for new operations hires, guiding them through their first weeks and ensuring a smooth integration into their roles.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for local operations teams, focused on equipping them with deep knowledge of Le Wagon’s products, operational processes, and tools.
Communication and Liaison
- Serve as the primary communicator to teachers, TAs, and operations staff regarding program updates, new rules, curriculum changes, and any relevant operational news.
Student Satisfaction and Issue Resolution:
- Take ownership of managing student dissatisfaction and conflicts, especially in cases of significant detractor groups or escalated issues.
- Act as a mediator to de-escalate tense situations while protecting the integrity and reputation of Le Wagon.
- Identify recurring pain points and work cross-functionally to propose and implement long-term solutions to prevent similar issues in the future.
Project Management
- Participate in the launch of new products at Le Wagon and take charge of the development of innovative operational initiatives, employing a systematic project management approach.
Monitor and evaluate performance:
- Establish performance metrics and evaluation processes to assess the effectiveness of our teachers and local operations teams.
- Regularly review performance data, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans as needed.
- NPS analysis qualitative & quantitative
- Pedagogical Margin monitoring
Sourcing, recruitment and onboarding of Teaching Staff (BM, Teachers and TAs):
- Collaborate with local teams to identify staffing needs across all campuses.
- Lead the recruitment process for teachers and TAs, from sourcing candidates to conducting interviews, managing contracts, and ensuring alignment with Le Wagon’s academic standards.
- Implement a structured onboarding process for new teachers and TAs, ensuring they understand the curriculum, teaching tools, and the Le Wagon pedagogy.
📊 KPIs
- Improving and maintaining our students’ Net Promoter Score (NPS), with the help of the content team.
- Supporting local teams to maintain healthy pedagogical margins as per our set recommendations.
- Cost per hire ratio in the teacher sourcing process + teacher retention
🕵️ Profile
- You are located in either Lisbon or Paris
- You are bilingual in French & English
- You have experience identifying, attracting, and hiring tech educators or freelancers. You know how to build and maintain a talent pipeline and work collaboratively with internal teams to meet staffing needs is essential.
- You have strong analytical and decision-making skills. You can evaluate performance metrics, and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency and the student experience.
- You are familiar with educational technology and have a strong knowledge in any of these areas (Data science, Data Analysis, Data Engineering, Growth Marketing, Web development). Experience implementing and utilizing no-code tools to pilot new initiatives is a plus.
- You have exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas, provide feedback, and public speaking.
