ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Staff Engineer to drive the design and development of modern, AI-driven products. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong full-stack awareness with backend specialization (preferred), and hands-on experience building LLM-based agents or agentic AI systems. As a senior individual contributor, you will lead complex technical initiatives, shape system architecture, and collaborate closely with engineering, product, and AI teams to build scalable, production-grade platforms. You will play a key role in solving challenging engineering problems while mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance systems across frontend and backend platforms.

• Drive architecture decisions, system design, and technical strategy for critical product initiatives.

• Review designs and critical code paths to ensure high-quality engineering standards.

• Solve complex engineering problems and guide teams through technical challenges.

• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and observable.

AI / Agentic Systems

• Design and build LLM-based agents or agentic AI systems powering modern product experiences.

• Work on agent orchestration, tool integration, context management, and evaluation frameworks. • Contribute to building AI-driven features and platforms that operate reliably in production.

• Exposure to voice bots or conversational AI is a strong plus.

Hands-on Development & Execution

• Contribute directly to the codebase and lead development of critical components.

• Partner with Product Managers and engineers to translate product requirements into technical solutions.

• Drive delivery of high-impact technical initiatives and ensure engineering excellence in implementation.

• Proactively identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challenges.

Technical Mentorship & Collaboration

• Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.

• Promote engineering best practices, strong design principles, and clean architecture.

• Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment on technical standards and long-term platform evolution.

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

Frontend (UI)

• React / JavaScript Backend (Preferred)

• Java with Spring Boot

• Python with FastAPI

Candidates with strong experience in other frontend or backend technologies are also welcome; however, the above stack is strongly preferred.

Other Technical Skills

• Experience designing and scaling distributed systems and APIs.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).

• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and observability tools.

• Exposure to AI/ML platforms, prompt engineering, or MLOps is a plus.
