Role Overview

Role: Senior Software Engineer

Experience: 5–6 Years

Team: Converse Engineering

Primary Skillset: Full Stack Engineering (MERN or equivalent)

The engineer joining this role will be expected to independently own features end-to-end across frontend, backend, integrations, deployment support, and production debugging.

Expected Candidate Profile

• We are looking for a strong full-stack engineer with:
• Solid backend fundamentals in Node.js and distributed API systems
• Strong frontend instincts with React (or equivalent modern FE frameworks)
• Experience working with third-party API integrations
• Strong debugging capability across integration-heavy systems
• Good understanding of system design fundamentals, scalability, and distributed systems
• Strong problem-solving ability and solid DSA fundamentals
• Ability to independently own features end-to-end
• Strong ownership and execution discipline
• Comfortable working in ambiguous and fast-moving environments
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Preferred candidates should ideally have experience in:
• Messaging systems or communication platforms
• SaaS products with workflow-heavy architectures
• Integration platforms and middleware systems
• Async systems and event-driven processing
• Reliability and observability tooling
• Production issue handling and release ownership
  
  

Core Responsibilities

• Build and maintain messaging platform capabilities
• Develop and support third-party provider integrations
• Own frontend and backend feature end-to-end
• Debug production issues across distributed systems
• Coordinate with Product, QA, DevOps, and external provider teams
• Improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions
