Vaibhav Singh is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur. He spent his first 6 years at DeutscheBank, across Singapore & Sydney to manage a $3Bn flow book. He has built 2 fintech startups before, as a founding member of CapitalFloat and Incred, both pioneering businesses valued >$500Mn The Leap team has a fine balance of industry experience (edtech, fintech, study abroad) and technical skills (engineering, product, design)
About the Role
We are looking for a Medical Career Counsellor who will mentor students and parents through critical medical career decisions using profile evaluation, aptitude, and long-term goals. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor across medical pathways, admissions processes, and post-study outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct online telephonic and virtual counseling sessions with students aspiring for medical and healthcare careers
- Guide students on medical career options based on their academic profile, aptitude, and long-term goals
- Assist students in choosing the right medical pathways (MBBS, MD/MS, allied health sciences, public health, biomedical sciences, etc.)
- Counsel students on India vs international medical education routes, where applicable
- Provide guidance on medical entrance exams and eligibility requirements (NEET, IMAT, UCAT, BMAT, etc., as relevant)
- Support students with university/college shortlisting and next steps in the application journey
- Educate students and parents on recognition, licensing, and post-study career outcomes
- Participate in education fairs, webinars, and events as and when required
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ years of experience in medical admissions or undergraduate admissions counseling
- Strong understanding of medical education pathways and healthcare career options
- Experience in guiding students based on profile (or psychometric) evaluation and career alignmen
- Excellent communication skills with a high empathy and advisory mindset
