About the role

We are seeking a Content Strategist to build, develop, and leverage Learning Pool’s brand strategy. The role holder will have ownership for the content strategy and ensure that it is rolled out to engage with the target audiences, creating compelling stories that share the brand’s ideals, aspirations, and features to entice and engage throughout the entire customer journey, from awareness, through to customer advocacy.

This is a new role at Learning Pool, and as our Content Strategist, you will collaborate with our C-suite, product marketing team, product leaders, video production and design and brand agencies to align everyone with brand strategy and messaging and lead the development and implementation of content marketing plans to best position our brand in the US and UK markets.

What you will be doing

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Leading the planning and roadmapping of content, messaging and themes across marketing & comms strategies that support new products, ABM and other growth pillars of the business (OKRs)
  • Testing new content marketing campaign strategies to find the most effective approach and identify the audiences with intent, common pain points etc. Use data and insights to make quick, informed decisions for adjusting content in campaigns; website, landing pages, emails, ads, blogs, social & PR.
  • Execution of content marketing campaign plans, mixing the marketing comms techniques (content marketing, paid search, paid social, email, social marketing, podcasts / webinars) that use data, experimentation, and continuous optimisation to pinpoint and seize opportunities for growth at all stages of the customer journey.
  • Curation and creation of brand assets (primarily for video and long form) based on insights drawn from B2B learning technology, market trends and internally-sourced data, ensuring that content created across all channels is on brand and on message.
  • Creating and delivering content at each funnel stage and touch points of the customer journey, from initial awareness to retention and advocacy; using this perspective to create personalised experiences for each buyer persona and customer ICP while keeping customers engaged and loyal.
  • Optimising multi-channel performance to reach customers where they are with consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Creating personalised content for high-value accounts with highly personalised campaigns to increase ACV/CLV
  • Supporting analytics initiatives and attribution projects to understand the impact of content and engagement through incremental testing, ROI analysis, and collaboration with the data team on advanced attribution modeling.

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A proven track record: You will have extensive SaaS B2B Content Marketing experience, including experience of planning and implementing content marketing and comms frameworks (messaging matrix, value prop canvases etc) with structured, repeatable steps to effectively achieve sustainable and profitable growth
  • Leadership: You will have experience leading both agencies, freelancers, inhouse content and campaign teams and scaling a high performance content marketing function with a full-funnel mindset in a global technology company
  • Subject matter expertise: You will maintain and grow your knowledge of Learning Pool’s ICPs, personas, and core themes across our product portfolio, which includes learning, compliance, productivity, and upskilling solutions.
  • Customer centricity: proven track record on how to maximise engagement at every touch point of the customer journey from discovery to advocacy.
  • Communication: You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate relevant messaging both orally, visually and in writing. You will have advanced presentation skills and be capable of communicating our content strategy at all organisational levels (including board level).
  • Delivering with others: You will have demonstrated experience in fostering strong relationships with product, sales and leadership teams, collaborating within the business, to identify and implement content marketing opportunities and brand profiling.
  • Commercial acumen: You will be commercially astute with the ability to manage budgets to maximise the return on content marketing, Social & PR campaigns.
  • Data driven: You will be experienced using insight, data and analytics to develop content experiments, track progress and optimise efforts.
  • Adaptability: You will be flexible in your approach asking "What can we do to make this happen?" rather than "I don't know how this would work?"
