About the role

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Marketing Analyst to join our growing marketing team. The successful candidate will be pivotal in analysing marketing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to optimise our marketing strategies. Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools, data visualisation tools, and CRM systems such as HubSpot and Salesforce is essential.

Location: Flexible within the UK.

What you will be doing

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Applying expertise in quantitative analysis and data visualisation to tell the story behind the numbers and provide recommendations to leadership and the board.
  • Providing actionable reports that the business can leverage to set strategic direction and make day-to-day decisions.
  • Collecting and analysing marketing data from various platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Third Party Marketing sources and CRM systems like HubSpot and Salesforce.
  • Developing and maintaining standardised dashboards and ad hoc reports to inform business decisions, using data visualisation tools.
  • Analysing marketing and customer acquisition data and providing valuable, data-centric insights, and solutions
  • Ensuring IT leadership is appropriately informed of performance or other issues.
  • Developing insights that can be used to drive optimizations across all channels.
  • Maintaining a detailed understanding of all marketing data sources and legacy queries for effective data analysis.
  • Implementing and managing multi-channel attribution models to accurately measure the performance of marketing campaigns.
  • Working across different teams and stakeholders, both internal and external;
  • Helping to create test strategy and measurement plans.
  • Analysing and reporting on funnel metrics and campaign effectiveness, including traffic, acquisition, conversion, and return on marketing investment.
  • Presenting insights to stakeholders including SLT and the board.

Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A proven track record: You will have extensive experience as a marketing data analyst or similar role where the analysis of marketing data at a senior level was a core part of your day to day activities.
  • Subject matter expertise: You will have a strong practical understanding of attribution models and multi-channel attribution. You will also have in depth knowledge of the B2B marketing landscape and the data challenges in this space
  • Technical capability: You will be highly proficient in the use of analytics and reporting tools such as Hubspot, Excel and Salesforce. Proficiency includes the use of tools for statistical analysis and predictive modelling.
  • Delivering with others: You will champion and foster a spirit of collaboration across stakeholders, providing strategic insights and recommendations based on data.
  • Communication skills: You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data and insights from that data in a clear and actionable manner, to various levels of stakeholders.
  • Problem solving capabilities: You will have experience in exercising sound judgement when faced with challenges, with the ability to use resources at your disposal such as automation to find solutions
  • Adaptability: You have a positive and agile mindset, asking "What can we do to make this happen?" rather than "I don't know how this would work?"

Although not essential, it would be advantageous to have:

  • A qualification in statistics, data science or similar
