The Associate Account Executive is a results-driven sales hunter responsible for generating net-new business within the higher education sector. This role leads territory planning and full-cycle sales execution, using a consultative, data-driven approach to build pipeline, close new deals, and position Lightcast as a trusted workforce analytics partner across the education, edtech, consulting, and software markets.
Major Responsibilities:
- Achieve or exceed revenue, market share, and performance targets.
- Drive full sales cycle execution: prospecting, qualification, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline within a defined territory.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and activity tracking using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, SalesLoft).
- Develop consultative relationships to understand client challenges and demonstrate solution value.
- Support renewals, upselling, and cross-selling to expand long-term customer relationships.
- Partner cross-functionally with legal, product, and customer success teams to ensure successful deal execution and client experience.
- Represent Lightcast professionally in meetings, presentations, and industry interactions.
- Stay organized and adaptable in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge, market expertise, and sales effectiveness.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0–1 years of experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
- Experience within the education sector highly desired.
