Title: Content Designer

Location: Fully Remote within Europe

We’re searching for an experienced Content Designer to join our global Experience Design team. You will play a key role in creating intuitive experiences across Moodle’s digital products, collaborating with UX designers, researchers, product managers, and developers to create content that is clear, concise, and accessible. Your work will directly impact how users interact with our services, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience.

This role can be based anywhere in Europe!

What your new job can look like

Most days will involve a mix of:

  • Working closely with the Product Managers, UX Designers and UX Researchers to develop user-centred product experiences and design content that aligns with Moodle’s voice, style and tone at every step of the user journey.
  • Working with the Director, Experience Design and Lead Content Designer to further embed the content design practice in the work we do.
  • Participating in UX research activities and the user testing process to gain insights from users and validate content decisions.
  • Creating and maintaining resources that help our teams and the Community create consistent, user-centred experiences.
  • Advocate for user-centred design and development with our Product teams, championing adherence to our Discovery and Design process.

We'd love to meet you

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • Passion for, and experience in delivering excellent user experiences through content design.
  • Experience establishing and driving a new content design practice at a large scale software company.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., designers, researchers, developers, product managers).
  • Experience conducting user research and translating insights into actionable content solutions.
  • Ability to show empathy and understanding for the end-user needs.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Ability to self-motivate and organise your own workload.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal) with the ability to quickly and effectively build strong relationships, trust and credibility with stakeholders.
  • Previous experience writing content for global, multilingual audiences would be a bonus (but not essential)
