Product Director, Positivity & SymbolStix Prime

The Product Director is a critical leadership role designed to support and grow n2y’s related solutions, Positivity and SymbolStix Prime. In this position, the Product Director leads the strategic design, development, and delivery of their solutions and is responsible for the overall success of those solutions. The Product Director works closely with other n2y teams to advise on decisions including development and operations, gain and impart solution knowledge, and make critical decisions regarding the lifecycle of their solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership, vision, and guidance to develop educational solutions that meet customer and business needs.
  • Create and own the vision of their solutions.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures to monitor solution health and create solution roadmaps.
  • Evaluate data and insights for comprehensive strategy planning.
  • Manage, improve and implement scalable solutions, processes, and internal tooling to ensure team involvement, timely delivery, tracking, visibility, automation, cost control and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze trends in the special education and Ed Tech markets and serve as internal subject matter expert in the areas of special education and instructional design
  • Oversee client feedback and product enhancement requests.
  • Manage routine product feature enhancements in content, layout, and usability.
  • Ensure solutions align with company mission and goals.
  • Support business development activities, in close collaboration with Product, Sales and Customer Care teams, through demonstrations, strategic client conversations, and solution delivery.
  • Support and grow team knowledge and skills in solutions’ content, product lifecycle, product development process, internal and cross-functional collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Support or lead new or existing adjacent solutions as needed

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Special Education, Speech Language Pathology and/or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of Product Management and/or Development experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and workflow.
  • In-depth knowledge of symbolic representation, symbol use cases, text simplification, learning, and literacy preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience related to social emotional behavioral development, behavioral principles and intervention, and classroom management preferred.
  • Management skills to oversee project based teams.
  • Ability to plan, organize, direct, manage, and coordinate the operations of the solution.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and pivot as priorities change.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Sharp analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-collaborative teams in a growing organization.
