Newsela is seeking to hire a Contractor based out of Latin America for Product Analytics Services.

Scope of Services:

• The Senior Product Analyst will partner with Product Managers and other stakeholders in the company to quantitatively evaluate product initiatives.
• You will ensure that the products we build will continuously improve and align with short-term and long-term Product team goals by using experimentation as well as other analytic techniques to determine whether product enhancements are driving positive growth in company KPIs.
• You will supply stakeholders with analyses, reports, and dashboards that enable better tracking and monitoring of product usage.
• You’ll work collaboratively with Product Managers and other analysts to create a set of key metrics that you will then own. You’ll monitor these metrics over time and communicate any changes to relevant teams.
• You’ll employ expert-level stakeholder management tactics including: attending key Product Management meetings, proactively observing internal and user pain points, and solution-building, formulating ways to integrate with Product Management processes in ways that ultimately help improve product planning and work cycles.

Skills / Experience:

• You have 5+ years as an Analyst in a Consumer Product Analytics or Business Analytics function
• You have 5+ years experience in querying databases and are highly proficient in SQL
• You are an expert at conducting A/B tests, including experimental design, metric selection, data analysis, and interpretation of results
• You have experience with Looker/LookML (or other similar tools) to monitor, analyze, and deliver repeatable insights
• You have experience using Heap, Amplitude, Pendo, or a similar tool to investigate user behavior
• You are an adept user of Excel and/or Google Sheets
• You are skilled at producing data visualizations for a variety of audiences and using data to tell a complete story
