The Event Manager oversees event planning, logistics, and material management for SchoolStatus' 100+ sponsored events. Working in collaboration with the marketing, sales, and customer success teams, they ensure successful event execution and preparation for both SchoolStatus and its attendees. This role is one of two Event Managers and reports directly to the Senior Director, Revenue Marketing. This remote-based role may require occasional travel to our most important events.

The impact you'll have:

  • Manage budgets, timelines and playbooks for event planning and activation, coordinating with sales and other internal stakeholders to ensure message consistency and clear business goals.
  • Execute trade show logistics from start to finish, to include: event registration and payment, staff accommodations, rentals and orders from the organization/venue, coordinating material logistics including shipping, and communications with attending personnel.
  • Develop and execute unique ideas for event presence and booth activation (memorable giveaways, games, etc.).
  • Write copy for event-related communications, including emails and social media, and manage pre- and post-event marketing and sales promotional strategies.
  • Analyze event performance metrics, deliver event/sponsorship lead data for accurate reporting and attribution, and manage post-event program evaluations to ensure learning, results, ROI, and areas for improvement are effectively captured.
  • Manage the ordering/shipping of booth graphics, event supplies, and giveaways.
  • Work with the sales and customer success teams to coordinate ancillary events such as large dinners, customer appreciation events, and presentations for national events.
  • Proactively research and recommend ideas to optimize event execution and planning, increasing value from vendors, establishing unique customer experiences, and more.
  • Source and manage contracts with event management, partners, vendors, and venues and maintain a calendar of events for sponsorship, speaking, and “walking” opportunities.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in event planning, logistics, and management, preferably in a similar role (bonus if in the EdTech space!).
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously, ensuring all details are meticulously coordinated.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams, vendors, and event participants.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges that may arise before, during, or after events.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in logistics planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines and deliver successful events on schedule.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer success, to align event objectives with overall company goals.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and managing relationships with vendors, including venues, caterers, and AV equipment providers.
  • Proficiency in budget development and management to ensure events are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, particularly in fast-paced event environments.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively to enhance the attendee experience and differentiate SchoolStatus' events from competitors.

U.S. Pay Range
$55,000$68,000 USD

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
