Direct/Field Sales Representative

Position Overview: As a Sales Representative at Pearson, you will play a crucial role in promoting our educational products and services. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with clients, maintain strong relationships, and drive sales growth. This position requires a proactive and customer-focused approach, as well as a keen interest in staying informed about educational trends. As a Sales Representative, the role is pivotal in shaping the future market direction within the education sub-vertical. To provide valuable insights into market trends and contribute to the success of educational products and services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Consultant Performance Review: Regularly review key performance indicators (KPIs)
Provide guidance and support to customer as well as consultant teams.
Training and Skill Enhancement: attend training sessions with the Consultancy team to enhance skills and product knowledge.
Sales Effectiveness: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales events.
Ensure staff deliver professional service and maintain product knowledge.
Remote Work and Travel.
Represent Pearson during client visits and industry events.
Create a pipeline for the Field Education Sales Representative.
Sales Governance: Manage the end-to-end sales governance process.
Raise awareness of strategic opportunities across the organization.
Qualifications:
Education Background: A background in sales and education is preferred. A relevant degree (e.g., Bachelor’s or University Degree) in Business, English Teacher, Education, or related fields.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication.
Driving Requirement: Having a car is mandatory due to travel commitments.
Curiosity and Adaptability: Stay informed about educational trends, innovations, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Agenda Management:
Create and manage a well-organized agenda to optimize client interactions and maximize productivity.
Prioritize tasks and appointments effectively.
Client Visits:
Conduct regular visits to existing and potential clients.
Understand their needs, present Pearson’s solutions, and address any inquiries.
Build rapport and trust with clients to foster long-term partnerships.
Salesforce Data Entry:
Accurately input relevant information into Salesforce, our customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Update client interactions, sales progress, and other relevant data.
Post-Sales Customer Support:
Provide exceptional service to clients after sales transactions.
Address any issues, resolve concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver timely solutions.
Travel Opportunities:
Be prepared for occasional travel to meet clients, attend conferences, and participate in industry events.
Represent Pearson professionally during these trips.
Effective Communication:
Maintain open and clear communication with clients, colleagues, and management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets.
