About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced New Product Development (NPD) Engineer with a strong background in engineering design, prototyping, and product launch processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience leading or supporting the development of new products from concept to commercialisation. You will collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective products that meet customer and market needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead or support end-to-end product development cycles including concept generation, feasibility studies, design validation, and production launch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain) to define product requirements and ensure manufacturability.
• Create and manage technical documentation including design specifications, DFMEAs, BOMs, test plans, and engineering change requests.
• Develop and validate prototypes and first articles using rapid prototyping, CAD, and CAE tools.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
• Support root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts for design or production-related issues.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource planning in alignment with the NPD roadmap.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors during the development of components and tooling.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and internal quality processes.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in NPD, preferably in a manufacturing or product-based company.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA).
• Strong understanding of DFM/DFA, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping methods, materials selection, and testing.
• Familiarity with Stage-Gate or Agile NPD processes.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of ISO and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA, CE) as applicable to the industry.

Bonus if you have:

• PLM and ERP systems experience
• Six Sigma or Lean methodologies exposure
• Familiarity with embedded systems (if applicable).
• Patent or IP experience.
