Job Description:

The Video Content Production Intern is responsible for helping to manage the production experience for Pluralsight authors. They will work alongside the Video Content Producers to support authors in achieving Pluralsight’s high quality, audiovisual, technical, and design standards in order to publish video content that is available even before the learner needs it. The Video Content Production Intern does all these things with our global learners top of mind to help our authors understand how each step creates value for the learner and the buyer, along with working to achieve key production metrics for speed, quality, and learning effectiveness . To excel in this role, you should be familiar with project and time management, relationship management, and have strong communication and critical thinking skills.

This is a paid 12-week summer internship position from May 13th - August 2nd, 2024.

This position is reserved for current college/university students that will be graduating in 2025.

What you’ll own:

  • Focusing on the learner - while this role works directly with the author, the learner is always prioritized when making any decision

  • Educating a variety of authors in recording, production, presentation, and design standards

  • Managing the production process and schedule for multiple authors during content creation, ensuring that quality content is delivered effectively and efficiently to drive on-time publication and publication goals

  • Onboarding new or returning authors to the authoring process, standards, and tools (PowerPoint template, Camtasia, audio equipment, Author Home, Author Kit)

  • Troubleshooting author recording setups and tooling issues

  • Reviewing submitted materials for quality compliance and providing authors with constructive feedback to help them improve

  • Communicating how standards support learning efficacy for a global audience

  • Coordinating contract extensions or cancellations with the Skills Domain team; surfacing quality and delivery concerns as needed

  • Coordinating publication to Pluralsight.com, which includes performing final edits, reviewing authors’ changes, content details, and assets prior to publication

  • Monitoring customer support tickets, and making updates to published content

  • Executing and providing input to production strategy

  • Understanding and giving input to the design and continued evolution of the author experience; using data to measure impact

  • Proposing and collaborating on special projects related to improving processes and workflows that align with the company’s strategy

  • Communicating effectively with a customer service approach

Experience you’ll need:

  • A current junior pursuing an undergraduate degree in Video Production or related field at an accredited university or college

  • Familiarity with video editing and video editing software (preferably Adobe Premiere and Camtasia)

  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong relationship management, conflict resolution, and deadline management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and interact well in a team environment
