What is the purpose of the Role?
The University Relations Representative is a key member of the University Relations Team, responsible for growing loan application volume at over 1,800 currently supported schools. The role focuses on scaling engagement and awareness within higher education by fostering relationships with enrollment and financial aid administrators, managing communication strategies, and leveraging partnerships with sector associations. Additionally, the role informs company growth by gathering and sharing industry insights.
As a commercial-oriented position, this role supports Prodigy Finance’s expansion in the North American higher education market through direct engagement with institutions, participation in conferences, and execution of communication campaigns.
Key Accountabilities and Associated Activities:
- University Engagement & Relationship Management
- Develop and execute communication strategies to engage financial aid and enrollment professionals at supported schools.
- Conduct informational webinars for administrators and students to enhance awareness of Prodigy Finance’s offering.
- Grow and manage relationships with key schools to uncover new course offerings and areas for expansion.
- Conference & Association Engagement
- Develop and oversee the higher education conference strategy and budget.
- Represent Prodigy Finance at industry events through exhibiting, networking, and session presentations.
- Strengthen relationships with sector organizations through content creation (blog posts, press releases, data sharing).
- Insights & Strategy Contribution
- Gather and analyze market trends, feeding insights back to the company to inform product and policy development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine engagement strategies for school partnerships and product awareness.
- Scholarship Programme Management
- Organize and expand Prodigy Finance’s scholarship initiatives, particularly those in partnership with schools and associations.
Qualifications Required:
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited US or Canadian university, preferably in a business-related field.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience in higher education, business development, or relationship management.
- Strong familiarity with the North American higher education landscape, including academic calendars, enrollment cycles, and financial aid structures.
- Experience managing communication campaigns and engaging with institutional stakeholders.
- Proven track record of representing organizations at conferences and delivering professional presentations.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (minimum 20%) for conferences and events.
Knowledge, Technical Competency, and Skills:
- Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong presentation and public speaking abilities.
- Data analysis skills with the ability to extract insights to inform strategy.
- Content creation expertise, including blog writing, press releases, and webinar development.
- Familiarity with digital engagement strategies, including social media, SEO, and sector-specific marketing.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, email marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
