The Business Development and Channel Executive is expected to drive panel sales into a defined territory and support demand creation activities. The role will involve the presentation of the Promethean value proposition to MATs, colleges and strategic opportunities in the UK. They possess an entrepreneurial drive and a passion for maximising relationships with customers as well as be obsessed about driving revenue while providing the best possible experience for our education community.
They are responsible for developing the company’s sales in the assigned territory through reseller partners. This role will be responsible for the development and management of the relationships with the end user/customer and partners in territory. This role will also provide professional development opportunities and support to customers on Promethean’s hardware and software product suite. They will work closely with resellers in both providing high quality demonstrations and orientation options to current & potential end users and for the resellers themselves, including the management of demo and seed units across the territory. Finding new opportunities to engage with non-Promethean accounts is a key component of the role identifying and then introducing Promethean to these accounts a key KPI in success.
Management of pipeline opportunities, working closely with the Channel Sales Team to drive outcomes for Promethean orders. Field based.

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility as the primary Promethean point of contact for the relationship with end user Education customers. Build strategic plans with the customers for their front of class technology to get the most from this technology.
  • Research and understand the Education landscape in territory to identify potential end users that are showing intent in buying IFPD
  • Undertake business development activities to gain presentation appointments primarily across target accounts within the territory, being able to identifythese target and build engagement strategies.
  • Provide professional development and on-going support to Promethean end users and build long term relationships securing hardware, software, and services sales.
  • Deliver presentations both face to face and virtually or both, of the highest standard to end users at all levels within UKI Education.
  • Support partners & customers with their training and implementation of Promethean hardware/software solutions through in person and virtual training and/or orientations sessions.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow sales prospects and new opportunities with new and current end users in the territory with the purpose of increasing revenue, margin, and market share.
  • Articulate the Promethean value proposition and demonstrate the benefits of Promethean solutions either face to face, remotely or both. Be able to identify which of the values tools we offer will allow us to retain margin while winning business.
  • Organise Seed and Demonstration Panel movement around territory with regards to long term and short-term opportunities
  • Attendance at key market events either directly for Promethean or to support reseller partners in showcasing the product offering
  • Utilize, track, and maintain customer accounts and opportunities on Salesforce.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level and/or an experienced Teacher/Trainer specialist is preferred
  • 3-5+ years sales experience in either the education or technology markets
  • Experience of a two-tier distribution sales model advantageous.
  • In depth knowledge of Promethean products, software & services with skills to align with pedagogical need.
  • Exceptional communication skills, comfortable delivering a high standard of presentation on the Promethean proposition to large groups of people, including Directors of Education and C-level contacts
  • High levels of knowledge on all aspects of educational technology, technology integration, and current education technology trends.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UKI education market, its parameters, drivers, and funding streams is desired. If not it will be required as part of the onboarding.
  • Existing contacts within education sector is desired
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to support work across different regions
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Some form of school engagement desirable such as governor, PTA or previous work experience.
Base Range: GBP 50,900 - GBP 70,000 - Commission Eligible
