As the Director, Marketing Operations Analysis and Insights, you are responsible for all marketing performance reporting, providing value-added insights and analysis that enables strategic and tactical performance optimization, leveraging automated processes to create more efficiency in marketing reporting, ensuring accuracy of back-end data, building self-service dashboards for team members to monitor campaign performance, ensuring integration and alignment with company-level financial and operational reporting and evolving our overall marketing analytics capabilities. You have a passion for data and the insights that it can reveal, with a strong foundation in data structures and consolidation of complex data sets.
You will interact and work with a large team and will work cross-functionally with a range of marketing professionals. Primarily working with Demand leads you will also work with product and industry marketers. The teams you will be working with are located across the globe. Additionally, you will both be working with marketers creating and improving campaign performance and senior leaders defining strategy. The team owns all reporting, enabled by multiple technologies , and works vey closely with the Demand Centre team who own Salesforce and Marketing Automation tools.
This is a critical role in Clarivate’s marketing organization that will support growth by providing insights, visibility and objective measurement of marketing performance from pre-funnel to lead to pipeline and revenue contribution.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics or related fields with a focus on data science and analytics
- 10+ years working in data analytics, business intelligence or other quantitative fields, preferably in the marketing space
- Expert level of experience with technologies Salesforce, Power BI, Excel, Snowflake or similar
- Demonstrated understanding of marketing data flows and how those impact reporting and analysis
- Successful track record of managing small analytics teams
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in analysing and translating data into actionable changes; must have the confidence to make informed decisions and provide actionable recommendations
- A strong blend of both quantitative and communications skills to enable marketing teams to understand data and what it is showing
- Excellent presentation skills with experience presenting data and related stories at multiple levels of the business, from IC through to C-Level
What will you be doing in this role?
- Provide value-added insights and analysis on lead type, channel and content performance, including down funnel conversion rates, pipeline contribution, ROI and other factors, that will help to drive a culture of continual data-based improvement
- Enable demand generation, field marketing and digital teams to proactively monitor campaign results to enable active optimization of activities
- Deliver regular and accurate reporting of marketing performance across all Key Performance Indicators, both against targets and prior year(s) metrics
- Create ad-hoc analyses as needed and support executive/leadership team with needed insights
- Build on the Clarivate Marketing Activity Data warehouse, including adding further data sources and implementing multi-touch attribution
- Develop Power BI dashboards to provide real-time visibility of marketing results for the larger marketing team
- Manage, lead and coach analytics report by providing guidance and direction on key activities and provide opportunities for career growth and development
About the Team
This role will report into the VP – Marketing and will collaborate closely with other Marketing teams across the business.
Hours of Work
Full time role, hybrid, 2-3 days’ per week in the London office.
